DENZA Z9GT and D9, expansion outside China begins

DENZA has officially announced its entry into international markets outside of China, choosing the historic Palais Garnier in Paris as the setting for the brand’s world premiere. The event marked a symbolic but concrete step, namely the beginning of a new era of electric mobility, with the ambition of bringing a different kind of premium to Europe, capable of combining design, performance, and new technologies, namely EV and DM-i super plug-in hybrid.

DENZA expands outside of China

Guided by the “Technology Drives Elegance” philosophy, the Chinese manufacturer’s expansion redefines the European premium landscape by focusing on the idea that innovation can truly improve people’s lives. From record charging speeds to independent dual-motor rear-wheel steering, every element contributes to defining a more agile and precise driving experience. The range debuts with two models designed to meet different but equally high needs: DENZA Z9GT and DENZA D9.

Two models for the first offensive

The Z9GT positions itself as a shooting brake flagship in the high-performance segment, available in electric and Super Hybrid DM-i versions. In the EV variant, it promises significant performance (0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds) and high maneuverability thanks to independent rear-wheel steering. On board, a 50″ augmented reality head-up display, a 17.3″ “floating” central infotainment, and two additional 13.2″ screens for the instrument cluster and front passenger entertainment stand out. The collaboration with Devialet completes the sound experience with audio configurations (20 speakers for Z9GT) and Dolby Atmos.

The D9 DM-i, on the other hand, brings elegance to new energy in the premium MPV segment. It offers space for 7 adults up to 180 cm, seven 20″ trolleys and as many backpacks, with all-wheel drive, up to 210 km of electric range and a combined range of up to 950 km. Here too, Devialet enhances the listening quality (16 speakers for D9) with an immersive footprint. Furthermore, the range introduces FLASH Charging technology to Europe: up to 1,500 kW of power, with fast times (ready in 5′, full in 9′) and guaranteed performance even at temperatures down to -30°C.

Focus on charging

In parallel, BYD confirmed the goal of installing 6,000 FLASH Charging stations outside of China within 12 months (including 3,000 in Europe). The initial launch will involve Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, with rapid expansion to at least 30 countries by the end of the year, and more than 150 points of sale by 2026. In Latin America, however, points of sale are already active in Brazil and Mexico, allowing the first customers to order the new DENZA models.
