Magical moment for Aprilia
Aprilia is dominating MotoGP 2026, a fact that will surely make Jorge Martin reflect and at the same time make Francesco Bagnaia smile. The two riders, in fact, will change bikes in 2027, Pecco will be Marco Bezzecchi’s new garage mate while Jorge Martin will take over from Fabio Quartararo as the lead rider of a Yamaha currently gripped by an apparently irreversible crisis.

Francesco Bagnaia, in fact, has reached an agreement with Aprilia for as many as the next four years, as the contract includes two two-year periods starting from 2027-2028, which will be characterized by the new technical cycle with engines reduced to 850cc, the disappearance of ride-height devices, and less dominant aerodynamics.

Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola commented on Bagnaia’s arrival at Aprilia, which is yet to be made official, emphasizing that he has no doubt Pecco will return to being the rider who won two MotoGP world titles: “Changes can be good – the words of Rivola interviewed by Sky Sport – on the other hand, we have shown that we gladly take riders coming from other manufacturers and regenerate them.”
