BYD continues to grow in Italy…
In the first quarter BYD ranks first in the NEV sector (electric + plug-in hybrid) with a 16,4% share and a lead of over 1.200 units over the first direct pursuer, a sign of consolidated leadership. The plug-in hybrid segment remains the main lever: in March the Chinese company reaches a 28,5% share in the segment, and 24,9% in the quarter thanks to the effectiveness of DM-i technology. In terms of models, the ATTO 2 DM-i confirms its position at the top of the plug-in hybrid segment with 2.848 registrations (18% share), followed by the SEAL U DM-i with 1.388 units (9%). While in the full electric sector the DOLPHIN SURF strengthens its presence, ranking sixth in the electric ranking.
…and in Europe
The ATTO 2 DM-i also enters the B‑SUV segment strongly, exceeding 10.000 units in the order book after the start of deliveries. The positive trend does not only concern Italy but extends to the main European markets, with significant accelerations in Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom. In this context, the launch of the DENZA brand, with the event on April 8 in Paris, represents a crucial milestone for the Group’s European expansion.
