Bezzecchi wins the first three races like Marc Marquez in 2014

22.45 – Marco Bezzecchi also won in the United States, it was since 2014 that the same rider had not won the first three races, back then Marc Marquez and Honda dominated, today Bezzecchi and Aprilia dominate. Another one-two for the Noale-based manufacturer with Martin second, a splendid Acosta third. Below is the top-15, worth noting is the first MotoGP point for Toprak Razgatlioglu who won the Yamaha trophy.

Lap 20/20 – The final lap begins and Bezzecchi has put 1.3″ seconds between himself and Martin. Bastianini has not given up on the idea of beating Marc Marquez to get into the top-5.

Lap 19/20 – Alex Marquez passed Bagnaia, moving up to seventh position.

Lap 19/20 – Martin is catching up to Bezzecchi, there are nine tenths between the two. Bezzecchi must hold on for two more laps.

Lap 18/20 – The battle rages between Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, and Bastianini; Marc Marquez and Bastianini have passed Bagnaia, moving into fifth and sixth positions.

Lap 17/20 – Great battle between Bagnaia and Marc Marquez for fifth position, for now Pecco holds on and Bastianini slips into sixth position.

Lap 16/20 – What a shame, technical DNF for Ogura. Marc Marquez passed Alex Marquez and Bastianini and is now in sixth position.

Lap 15/20 – We have reached three-quarters of the race, here is the top-15.

Lap 14/20 – Mistake by Acosta at Turn 1, Martin moves up to second position.

Lap 13/20 – Amazing Ogura, a perfect overtake on Di Giannantonio worth fourth position.

Lap 13/20 – Marc Marquez is now one second behind Bastianini, who is very close to Alex Marquez.

Lap 12/20 – Ogura is very threatening right behind Di Giannantonio.

Lap 12/20 – Ogura also passed Bagnaia, entering the top-5; Aprilia dominates in Texas too.

Lap 11/20 – We enter the second half of the race, positions seem settled for now, but soon those who managed their tires better will be able to exploit any struggles of their rivals.

Lap 10/20 – Fastest lap for Ogura. Marc Marquez is two seconds behind Bastianini and is not catching up to the KTM rider.

Lap 9/20 – Beautiful overtake by Ogura at Turn 11 on Alex Marquez, the Japanese rider has moved up to sixth position.

Lap 9/20 – Still one second between Bezzecchi and Acosta.

Lap 8/20 – This is the top-10: Bezzecchi, Acosta, Martin, Di Giannantonio, Bagnaia, Alex Marquez, Ogura, Bastianini, Marc Marquez, and Fernandez.

Lap 7/20 – Another fastest lap for Bezzecchi who pulls away, he has a one-second lead over Acosta. Martin risked losing the front at Turn 1 and now has Di Giannantonio’s Ducati right behind him.

Lap 6/20 – Fastest lap for Bezzecchi, below is the top-15. Mir crashes.

Lap 5/20 – It’s worth noting that the last four positions are occupied by the four Yamahas of Quartararo, Razgatlioglu, Rins, and Miller. Mir will have to serve a long lap penalty for the previous ‘cut’. 104 laps in the lead for Bezzecchi, making history.

Lap 5/20 – Martin attacks Acosta at Turn 1 but goes wide, the KTM rider crosses back and returns to second. Marc Marquez has served the long lap penalty and rejoined in eleventh position.

Lap 4/20 – Fastest lap for Di Giannantonio who tries to set off in pursuit of Bezzecchi, Acosta, and Martin.

Lap 3/20 – Mir goes wide in the esses, manages to rejoin the track still behind Bagnaia in sixth position. Zarco crashes.
