The Stewards’ decision
Marc Marquez in the United States GP will have to serve a long lap penalty in the opening laps after what happened in the first lap of the Sprint in Texas.
The reigning world champion started well and was third after the first corner, but suffered an attack from Di Giannantonio in the changes of direction. Marc Marquez tried to respond at Turn 12 at the end of the long straight, but went very deep and lost the front in the attempt to make the turn.
