Ferrari has inaugurated a new Diagnostic Center in Maranello dedicated to prevention and advanced diagnosis, open to both its own people and the local community. Managed by Med‑Ex, the historic medical partner of the Maranello-based company, the Center utilizes latest-generation technologies also provided by Philips, a world leader in medical innovation. The facility is equipped with a series of sophisticated equipment, including a total body MRI, a spectral CT scanner, a mammograph with tomosynthesis, a digital X-ray with intelligent collimation, and a DEXA bone densitometer.

Furthermore, it integrates software with artificial intelligence capabilities to ensure more precise, rapid, and safe diagnoses. This is an absolute first in Italy: it is indeed the first time that a company not belonging to the healthcare sector creates a facility of this level in synergy with public institutions. The collaboration with regional and local entities paves the way for proximity initiatives for the territory. In these days, a three-year agreement will be signed with the AUSL of Modena to offer mammography screenings to women residing in the Municipalities of Maranello, Formigine, and Fiorano: the Prancing Horse speaks of approximately 8,300 expected exams, the reporting of which will be carried out by AUSL specialists, as part of regional programs.

The Center also aims to be a hub for epidemiological studies through data pooling activities carried out by Med‑Ex and will offer remote second opinion services in collaboration with public medical centers of excellence. Ferrari has specified that it will not retain any profit from the facility: the relevant share will indeed be reinvested in training for medical and technical personnel and in scholarships for young healthcare professionals. Finally, the new facility also strengthens the internal welfare system, including the Formula Benessere program, which provides for an annual check-up extended from 2024, and Formula Benessere Junior for employees’ children.
