Renault and Geely invest to grow in Brazil

Renault Geely do Brasil has announced a new investment cycle in Brazil for 2 billion Brazilian reais, equivalent to about 319 million euros. A significant amount, with which the French giant and its Chinese partner intend to strengthen their presence in the local market. The main novelty resulting from this investment is the production of a new electrified Renault vehicle based on the GEA platform starting from 2027.

But that’s not all. Renault Geely do Brasil has also confirmed the start of production of the 100% electric Geely EX2 sedan at the Ayrton Senna Industrial Complex in December of this year. In addition to the new investment cycle, the company has also reiterated that next year in Brazil the production of the innovative Renault Hybrid E-Tech 4×4 flex-fuel technology will begin. After this announcement, the JV’s total investments in the country reach 899 million euros, equivalent to about 5.8 billion Brazilian reais, between 2025 and 2027.
