Verstappen wants to rebuild Red Bull
“The conversations I had with Mercedes and McLaren were serious, they were all very respectful conversations and there is nothing wrong with that, but I felt that staying at Red Bull was the right choice for me”. Max Verstappen interviewed by the BBC explained that he was in contact with Mercedes in 2025 and with McLaren in 2026, but in the end he extended his contract with Red Bull until 2030.

Verstappen also emphasized that he has already had patience in the past and is ready to have more: “Even at the beginning of my career I could have left Red Bull and gone elsewhere to try to win, but in the end if you have a bit of patience you win. This is my approach even now.”
