In the footsteps of Vettel and Verstappen
Will Kimi Raikkonen’s son end up racing against Andrea Kimi Antonelli? There are only nine years difference between the twenty-year-old F1 World Championship leader and the firstborn of the last world champion behind the wheel of the Ferrari, so it is at least a feasible scenario. Robin Raikkonen, in fact, has officially joined the Red Bull junior program. His first competitive season as a driver in the Red Bull junior program will be 2027.

“Robin has already shown exceptional skill in karting – said Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies – his speed, racecraft and natural talent have established him as one of the most promising young drivers in his age group. At the same time, he impresses with his maturity, calm approach and clear focus on driving.”
“The Red Bull Junior Team boasts years of incredible success – Mekies added – among its former pupils are Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen, as well as many others. It is therefore with great humility that Robin joins this illustrious program and will dedicate all his efforts to proving himself worthy of the trust Red Bull places in him.”
