It will be decided tonight
Much of the Spanish GP in Madrid concerning Charles Leclerc will be decided in these hours. The Ferrari driver, in fact, in the accident at the end of the second lap of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza at the exit of Alboreto, may have irreparably damaged the ADUO-2 power unit just installed.
According to AutoRacer.it, the final decision whether to proceed with the replacement thus triggering a heavy penalty on the starting grid of the Spanish GP at the Madrid circuit is expected by tonight. Tomorrow, in fact, the material must be shipped to the Iberian capital.
The engine suffered significant damage in the impact and moreover it also remained on as immediately verified through telemetry by our Federico Albano. A dynamic that certainly does not contribute to the integrity of the power unit just introduced at Monza in the pool of engines available to the Monegasque.
