A strange Formula 1
In the first part of the race the battle between Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari and George Russell’s Mercedes was truly unusual, with five overtakes and counter-overtakes that left a question about how much they depended on the real skills of the drivers in the maneuvers and how much on the different energy loads on points of the track.

Vasseur and Wolff appreciate it
Mercedes and Ferrari seem to be the teams that were most ready for the regulatory revolution, so it is not surprising that Toto Wolff and Frederic Vasseur praised what was seen in Melbourne, without ifs or buts.
Thus Wolff: “Anyone who said that the new regulations were not spectacular was wrong from the start.”
Vasseur echoed him: “For the sport it was a great race. At the beginning of the year there were some pessimistic comments about this new F1. But I believe that at the start of the grand prix we saw the 10 most exciting laps of the last 10 years.”
