The most spectacular moment of the Aragon weekend probably took place in today’s race, when Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi were side by side along the very long straight from turn 15 to turn 16, in a battle for first place that at that stage resembled American dragsters more than MotoGP.

“It was very strange – Marquez explained to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP – because I think it was this aerodynamics [that created the situation]. Practically both bikes were approaching on their own. I wanted to go right because the corner was coming and if you watch the replay when I was in sixth gear [the bike] even made a wheelie attempt, which is something that never happens.
