2027 driver market: almost the entire starting grid complete

So many changes!

Already during the summer break, and in some cases even before, official announcements have arrived in MotoGP regarding the agreements established by many riders with their next teams, for a starting grid that will therefore see numerous changes. But while waiting for the final announcements, which will definitively establish the lineup, how do the teams present themselves for the next season with their new signings?

The official announcements and four line-ups still pending

We start with the reigning world champions Ducati, who will once again count on Marc Marquez, but not on Francesco Bagnaia: the latter, in fact, will leave the Borgo Panigale team, where another Spaniard, Pedro Acosta, now former KTM, will arrive. ‘Pecco’, instead, will be the new teammate of Bezzecchi at Aprilia, where he will replace Jorge Martin. The latter, as is now well known for some time, will be the new Yamaha rider, with the Iwata factory also having signed an agreement with Ai Ogura, coming from Trackhouse. Consequently, the Japanese team will have a completely new line-up.

In this way, while Fabio Quartararo will restart with Honda, it is not yet clear what the future holds for Alex Rins, who nevertheless seems closer to continuing his career in Superbike. Still regarding Honda, but in this case in the LCR team, it has confirmed Johann Zarco, who does not yet know his teammate. There are also changes at Gresini, which will count on a totally revamped line-up: Joan Mir will arrive precisely from Honda, and he will have Daniel Holgado, promoted from Moto2, by his side. Consequently, Alex Marquez’s experience with the Faenza team will end, with the Spaniard having signed with KTM, as has Fabio Di Giannantonio. While Fermin Aldeguer will take the place of the latter in Valentino Rossi’s team, it is still to be determined who will be the other VR46 rider (most likely Nicolò Bulega), with Franco Morbidelli not yet confirmed and also closer to Superbike according to the latest rumors.

A category change that could also happen for Jack Miller, who has guaranteed the end of his MotoGP career at the end. Consequently, the Australian will not continue with Pramac, with the team having found his replacement in Izan Guevara, also coming from Moto2. Toprak Razgatlioglu will continue in the Tuscan team. Everything is settled at Trackhouse, first with the confirmation of Raul Fernandez and then with the announcement of Enea Bastianini. Precisely in the French team, from which ‘La Bestia’ departed, Luca Marini will be ready to open a new chapter of his career after the Honda stint, but with a teammate still to be known.
