Unprecedented change
In a few hours the Pramac team released two official announcements regarding the line-up for the next season, first announcing the exit of Jack Miller (who is also set to retire from MotoGP at the end of the championship) and subsequently his replacement in 2027. The transition will be from one of the most experienced riders in the Premier Class to a young talent who will even make his absolute debut in MotoGP, sharing the box with the three-time Superbike world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu.

The realization of a dream
He is the Spaniard Izan Guevara, 2022 Moto3 world champion and today a direct rival of fellow countryman Manuel Gonzalez in Moto2. Unlike the latter, the 22-year-old will have the certainty of fulfilling the MotoGP dream, as will Daniel Holgado and David Alonso. The MotoGP debut with the Tuscan team will therefore be a guarantee for Guevara, who did not hide all his emotions: “This is a dream come true for me. Reaching MotoGP has always been my goal and I know how difficult it is to reach the premier class. It took years of hard work and sacrifices from many people around me. I want to thank Yamaha for the trust they have shown me. This opportunity is not only the result of my efforts but also the support I have received from my parents, my team, my physiotherapist, and everyone who has helped me grow both as a rider and as a person. At the same time, I am very calm because my focus remains completely on Moto2. We are fighting for the championship and my goal is to close this chapter of my career in the best possible way. Looking ahead to 2027, I am excited about the challenge. MotoGP will enter a new era and I think this will create opportunities for riders making the step up. My first goal will be to learn, adapt as quickly as possible, and work closely with the team. Then, step by step, I want to continue improving and reach the highest possible level.”
