Bezzecchi fights like a lion
Marco Bezzecchi immediately took advantage of the difficulties of Martin and Ogura at the start to secure second position after the first corners of the British GP.
The Italian then had to raise the white flag in front of the attack from teammate Jorge Martin, but fiercely battled Alex Marquez, who tried to snatch the third place and the Silverstone podium from him.

But Bezzecchi fought like a lion, defending third place with nails and teeth, a well-deserved result after a weekend far from simple due to his physical condition.
With the results from the English weekend, ‘Bez’ is now second in the world standings, 31 points behind teammate Jorge Martin.
Bezzecchi’s race analysis
In an interview with Sky Italia, Marco Bezzecchi commented on his third place at Silverstone: “I’m happy. I’m tired, I can’t take it anymore. But it was great, it was worth it. How did I defend third place? I wanted the podium too much, I couldn’t give up. I was willing to do anything, for all the work the team did and all the effort I put in. It was amazing, I had a lot of fun.”

He continued: “I was very, very focused, I had saved something with the tires. Physically I knew I would give up a bit, especially when Jorge and then Alex passed me. I had nothing left, but I didn’t give up and it was enjoyable. After 2 operations within 6-7 days you generally don’t feel well and psychologically it wasn’t great either, your mind holds a lot of things during the whole period you are injured. Many doubts, it wasn’t easy.”
