In 2027 Acosta will finally ride a Ducati
Pedro Acosta has been captivating MotoGP fans for almost three years since he debuted with GasGas in 2024 after winning the Moto2 title in 2023 in his second year in the middle class (he won in Moto3 on his debut in 2021).

The Spanish rider, however, has not yet won a race in the premier class and, like another rider with undeniable talent such as Fabio Quartararo, pays the price for not having a competitive bike. In 2027, however, Acosta will be an official rider and will be able to aim for the top of the category. According to Casey Stoner, however, Acosta still needs to improve tactically.
“Pedro Acosta’s talent is undeniable, it is clear to everyone – said Casey Stoner reached by the official MotoGP site – but I would like to see a bit more patience from him. I have the impression that there are some riders on the grid he doesn’t like to see ahead of him, so he does everything to stay in front of them. If you want to win championships, this attitude doesn’t work, you have to accept that there are days when you can’t win.”
“When he learns to be patient Acosta will become a real threat – added Stoner – currently we cannot know exactly what his potential is because he races with KTM, but next year as a Ducati rider we will find out exactly what he is capable of“.
