Audi identifies the Nuvolari as the most powerful and fastest production car ever made by the brand. Yet, the focus is mainly on the extremely short development times of the car. 405 days, we repeat: enough to put the initial projects on paper in Ingolstadt, carry out tests in winter conditions in Lapland, complete the body and paint finishing in Neckarsulm, conduct wind tunnel tests in Ingolstadt, fine-tune the suspensions in the South of Spain, carry out several high-speed tests in Nardò, Italy. In short, all the experts worked side by side to develop the Nuvolari in record time. And they succeeded.
Record development times
Even Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg, official drivers of the Audi Formula One team, contributed by pushing the car to the limit during the final development phases. “I pushed to the max, that’s for sure. The car is extremely fast, the sound incredible. I need more laps: I have to savor these sensations more,” explained the first. “The acceleration and overall power are impressive,” added the second.
