MotoGP, Ogura looks for the big hit
Ogura continues his growth path in the premier class and looks at the Silverstone Grand Prix as another opportunity to gain experience and measure himself against the protagonists of MotoGP. Every weekend represents a chance to improve and reduce the gap from the more experienced riders, and the historic British track can meet the needs of the Japanese rider and the Aprilia of the Trackhouse team.

Silverstone offers an ideal setting to further test Ogura’s progress, undoubtedly one of the nicest surprises of the championship. It is a circuit full of fast and flowing corners, which can highlight both the technical characteristics of the Aprilia and the riding style of number 79. However, in the press conference he hides himself.
Ogura’s words
“I hope to be able to maintain this form, it is definitely our goal. The first half of the season for us has been very positive, we want to continue like this. For the weekend, to be honest, I am not as optimistic as I read,” these are Ogura’s words. “The track is good, but we always struggle in cold conditions, so it will be a challenging weekend. Last year Bezzecchi won with a big advantage, so I hope the bike suits the track and that we will be competitive, but we don’t know yet. Finishing in the top six in the long race would be a good weekend for us.”

“What does it take to go fast here? It’s something I would like to know too…,” he then joked. “I have never been very fast at Silverstone, maybe I’ll ask Bezzecchi for some advice later.”
The Japanese rider is currently second in the riders’ standings, 14 points behind brand teammate Jorge Martin and 4 points ahead of Marc Marquez. The British weekend will provide Ogura with concrete indications about his goals for the rest of the season: with a strong performance both Saturday and Sunday, it will be impossible not to dream.
