It is called X Skorpio, and it is the first Genesis concept developed for extreme off-road. The premium Korean brand relaunches the prototype that made its debut last January in the Rub’ al Khali desert, in the United Arab Emirates. A strong point of this concept vehicle is certainly its design, inspired by the black scorpion, with segmented panels and Two Lines signature: not surprisingly, it received the Red Dot Design Award 2026.

Genesis X Skorpio Concept
In particular, it boasts sharp and sculpted body lines, and enjoys a balanced setup ready for any action, recalling the defensive posture of the scorpion with its tail raised. A reference also found in the aforementioned segmented protective panels, which evoke the exoskeleton structure of this animal. Their configuration is such as to facilitate the replacement of individual panels in case of
damage. Completing the silhouette is a thin air intake on the roof. We mentioned above the Two Lines light signature: it is integrated into the front and rear light clusters.
Off-road with 1,115 HP V8
Powering the Genesis X Skorpio is a 1,115 HP V8 engine with 1,152 Nm of torque, paired with 18″ beadlock wheels and custom 40″ off-road tires. The premium Korean brand has chosen a tubular frame with integrated roll-cage, Brembo Motorsport brakes, high ground clearance, and an optimized suspension geometry to ensure control and precision even on the most challenging terrains. The bodywork, the company says, combines fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar.

Ready for any terrain
Inside the cabin, we find ergonomic seats and instrumentation integrated into the steering wheel, designed to keep the main information in the driver’s field of view. The sliding display, on the other hand, can be placed in the center during solo driving or moved in front of the passenger, allowing the latter to assist the driver in navigation activities as co-driver.
