Rumors and denials
In recent hours, a rumor had emerged on social networks regarding a possible running of the next Bahrain GP – scheduled as known in Malaysia on the Sepang track on October 4th – at night.

It would have been quite a twist because in the past all F1 races – and even MotoGP, for what it’s worth – held on the Sepang track have always taken place in the afternoon. But the hypotheses were not true: the heads of the Malaysian circuit have in fact confirmed that the GP will be regularly scheduled in the afternoon.
The CEO of the SIC, Azhan Shafriman Hanif, clarified the matter without possibility of denial: “The race will be held in the afternoon, not at night“, he declared in a brief response sent to some local sites that had contacted him for information.

Malaysia will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix on its territory again for the first time since 2017. In the past, the Malaysian GP took place from 1999 to 2017, before the event was excluded from the F1 calendar.
