Rossa’s mid-2026 review
Ferrari arrives at the three-week break spanning August as the second force in the drivers’ world championship (Hamilton chases Antonelli by 50 points) and in the constructors’ championship (Mercedes leads by +72).
In 11 Grand Prix, Hamilton and Leclerc have scored 2 wins – one each – and 9 total podium finishes – 5 for the Englishman and 4 for the Monegasque. No pole positions, but 3 front-row starts for Leclerc and 1 for Hamilton.

Compared to the same number of races in 2025, the SF-26 has collected a remarkable 97 more points.
There are encouraging signs, especially in recent races and ahead of upcoming updates, but clearly Mercedes had a better start off the blocks.
Vasseur gives his verdict on Ferrari
Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur was asked to give a judgment on the first half of the season of the Prancing Horse on Canal Plus: “I don’t know, maybe it’s a bit like school: ‘Good, but could do better’. The typical comment… We had a first half of the season where we were a bit behind Mercedes, we accumulated something like 100 points.”

Vasseur then continued: “After Spain, I think we are the ones who scored the most points. But here, it’s not enough. We can’t then let weekends like this Hungarian one slip away, where on Friday we were first and second and then we finish fourth and fifth.”
