It will be the Chery Tiggo 9, a flagship seven-seat SUV, the first model with which the Chinese brand presents itself in a structured way to the Italian market. The vehicle is offered in the plug-in hybrid CSH version (Chery Super Hybrid). It focuses on significant dimensions: 4,810 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and a 2,800 mm wheelbase. The cabin boasts a remarkable internal space utilization rate of 70.04%, with a 5+2 configuration designed to naturally handle both everyday life and trips when three generations are on board.

Practicality emerges especially in the management of the rear seats. The second row slides on 260 mm rails and features the EZE function with one-touch electric sliding to facilitate access to the third row. When the second and third rows are electrically folded down, a flat loading floor of 2.1 square meters is obtained, with a volume up to 2,065 liters. Even with the third row in use, there is still space for luggage, complemented by a rich set of useful features. Over 30 storage compartments and a cooled/heated armrest to keep drinks and snacks at temperature complete the overview.
Acoustic comfort and more
Comfort is interpreted in a “family” key with solutions oriented towards well-being during travel. The driver’s seat offers 8-way electric adjustments and a 10-point massage. The front passenger has the “Queen Seat” with one-touch recline in zero gravity position. The second row offers electrically adjustable backrests and all seats adopt multi-layer padding with an enveloping design. On the acoustic front, the Tiggo 9 focuses on perceived quality with laminated sound-absorbing glass, active noise cancellation (ENC), and 14 seals on the body cavities, as well as a SONY audio system with 14 speakers, including speakers in the driver’s headrest for calls or more private listening.

Plug-in hybrid powertrain
On the safety and protection front, the dome body is high-strength, with a structure made of 85% high-strength steels (of which 21% are hot-stamped) and a multi-crush box design intended to absorb and dissipate impact energy. Standard equipment includes 10 airbags and an L2+ level driver assistance system with up to 19 ADAS functions, as well as driver status monitoring. On the hybrid side, the Guardian system is also present which, in case of impact, cuts off the electric power supply within milliseconds. Completing the package are ISOFIX with alerts to notify via app if a child or pet is detected left on board, and the CSH powertrain with declared consumption up to 1.7 l/100 km, urban electric range up to 140 km, and total combined range up to 1,050 km, complemented by the 6.6 kW V2L function to power high-consumption devices even outdoors.
