Stellantis, new vans from Europe to Argentina

Stellantis presented the new generation of Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo light commercial vehicles in Argentina, destined to replace the models currently assembled at the El Palomar plant, Buenos Aires province. Local production will end at the end of June, while the new vans will be imported from Europe thanks to the trade agreement between Mercosur and the EU. The change in production origin is therefore part of an industrial reorganization and continuity of supply on the South American market, with two products designed for high-frequency professional use.

New Stellantis vans for Argentina

In addition to their origin, the two vans introduce significant practical innovations. The load capacity increases to 3.9 cubic meters compared to the 3 cubic meters of the versions produced in Argentina, while the payload reaches 865 kilograms: an increase that aims to improve efficiency in daily transport and logistics. The vehicles are primarily designed for urban distribution, last-mile management, technical services, and small and medium-sized businesses that need a robust, versatile vehicle suitable for city driving.

Import from the EU

From a technical point of view, both the Partner and the Berlingo maintain the same mechanical base: a 1.6-liter Hdi turbodiesel engine with 92 HP, combined with a five-speed manual gearbox. Safety systems such as electronic stability control (Esp) and Abs, with front airbags, are included, as well as practicality and driving assistance such as a rear camera and parking sensors. The equipment is completed by a 10″ touch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The most evident difference concerns the interior layout: in the Peugeot Partner, the environment is more oriented towards comfort and driving, while in the Citroen Berlingo, a more traditional and functionality-focused approach prevails.
