A quiet race
Pecco Bagnaia found the path to the podium clear after the multiple incident at the start that eliminated Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez, Fermin Aldeguer, and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Bagnaia didn’t have the pace to stay with the escapees Marquez and Acosta, but he was definitely faster than the chasers, which is why his was a solitary race in third place. Pecco finished 10 seconds behind those ahead of him and with a 4-second margin over those behind him: considering the difficulties he had over the weekend, he can file away third place with satisfaction.
For the Italian, this is his third consecutive podium this season.

Bagnaia comments on the race
“The incident? I had a bit of spinning and when I started braking I saw something was happening. In front of me was Martin, who perhaps had a front lock-up because the asphalt in Turn 1 was slippery. I tried to stay ahead as much as possible in the first few laps, then I had a 3″ advantage over 4th and I tried to maintain that advantage, and it went well. I didn’t have the pace and speed of the first two, and I was quite lucky that way.”
