In 2027, many riders will change bikes, but unlike what usually happens, the ‘historic’ crew chiefs will not follow their rider. Francesco Bagnaia will go to Aprilia without Christian Gabarrini who awaits Pedro Acosta at Ducati, and similarly Fabio Quartararo will not bring his long-time technical support with him.
According to motorsport.com, in fact, Diego Gubellini will remain at Yamaha. Fabio Quartararo at Honda will be joined by former Ducati Christian Pupulin, current crew chief of Luca Marini, after working alongside Jack Miller at Ducati.
