A break to understand
The 37 points collected by Marc Marquez at his Sachsenring do not tell the story of the physical difficulties of the Spanish champion even during the German Grand Prix weekend.
Marquez in fact admitted without beating around the bush that he is still far from top form and a sentence like the one he said to Dazn does not leave much room for interpretation: “Above all, I notice how my strength decreases over the weekend and how my riding worsens as it goes on”.

Marquez therefore welcomed the arrival of the summer break, telling of the intention to work on the resistance of the right arm and from there on to want to calibrate himself on his new physical limit to understand how to maximize efforts and minimize risks.

Domenicali hopes to have Marquez back at the top
In statements made to Sky on the sidelines of the Moto d’Italia event at Farnesina, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali explained: “Surely what a month ago seemed impossible – that is to think about the championship – today is certainly a possibility. However, I think many things still need to be seen. It will depend a lot on the summer break, if somehow Di Giannantonio will be able to restart – surely maybe finding that extra edge, and therefore being a really important contender – and then see Marc and if during this break his right arm will recover enough or not”.
