The ADUO for Mercedes?
Pending official confirmation, in the first provisional assignment of the ADUO Mercedes was placed by the FIA in the 2% band. The measurement is made exclusively on the thermal engine, but the updates allowed by the ADUO also concern the electric part: in short, a nice advantage for an engine manufacturer who has so far won 6 of the 7 races held so far.
Clearly there was huge surprise in the paddock at this result, with Red Bull asking the Federation to redo the calculations since it was the reference ICE of F1 and therefore the only one excluded from the update concessions.

Steiner suspects Wolff
During the Red Flags podcast, the former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner was asked if the conspiracy theory that Mercedes deliberately hid its potential to be assigned the ADUO could be considered credible or not.
“It could be, I mean… If there is anyone capable of doing it, it’s Toto (Wolff, ed.),” Steiner asserted confidently.

The Italian manager further explained his statement: “Toto is very smart. Then it’s not that hard to do, at all. Now Red Bull has asked the FIA to recheck the data, but obviously Mercedes will have made sure to be very, very slow. Just enough to get away with it. I mean, it’s one of those things you’d do to maintain an advantage. Why not do it, if you can? If you have more power, it’s easy to reduce it for reliability reasons. It’s not forbidden to use less”, emphasized Gunther Steiner.
