When will the ADUO analysis results arrive?
On May 8, the International Federation intervened on the technical regulations of Formula 1 to specify the three ADUO periods. After the sixth, twelfth, and eighteenth races of the 2026 world championship, the FIA will communicate which band the various engine manufacturers will be placed in, based on which those who are behind will be able to enjoy some extra updates compared to the reference power unit.
The calculations were quickly made and therefore the results of the first ADUO period should have been released after the Canadian Grand Prix, scheduled for last May 24.

Why is there a delay?
13 days have passed, but there is still no trace of communications regarding ADUO and indeed, the topic in Monte Carlo has not been addressed by either the drivers or the team principals.
What is happening? It’s no secret that work is being done with some haste behind the scenes in Monaco to try to unblock the situation regarding regulatory changes on 2027 engines. A top-priority issue, because it also touches on the ADUO discussion, given that Ferrari would be quite unhappy that a possible redesign of the power units (to increase fuel flow) would allow the most performing engine manufacturers to significantly modify their engines – thus weakening the ADUO winter break.
This political battle would be at the root of the delay, according to reports from some paddock journalists. Thomas Maher of PlanetF1 explained on X: “The ADUO results will probably not be communicated before this weekend’s meetings with the engine manufacturers in Monte Carlo.” Julianne Cerasoli, also on X, was on the same wavelength: “There’s a lot of movement here in Monaco for the discussion about the 2027 engine and the delay in ADUO communication has to do with this.”
