The comparison between the two seven-time world champions
Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are the two most successful drivers in F1 history. The English driver and the German driver are tied at seven world titles, with Hamilton having long broken the record of 91 F1 wins that belonged to the Kaiser, raising the bar to 105.

The English engineer Jock Clear in his long career has been able to work and observe closely both Schumacher and Hamilton and has compared the two champions like this.
“Hamilton probably has more natural talent than Schumacher – the words of Clear reached by Betpack – but he did not have as complete an overview as Michael. Muhammad Ali said that it is not the mountain in your path that stops you, but the pebble in your shoe. Michael understood very well where the pebbles were and made sure that everything around him was perfect because he knew that once you reached a certain level there were aspects more important than pure speed. I believe he would have admitted that he was not the fastest or the bravest, when you get to this level, everyone is able to do a very fast lap, but those who really succeed are those who see the bigger picture and make those little extra details that make the difference on Saturday and Sunday. Michael had the best balance among all these things.”
