“I am happy, but not completely, because I lost the Sprint podium in the last two laps – admitted the Trackhouse team rider at the end of the race – during the Sprint I was managing the rear tire quite well, which is always rather complicated here, but five laps from the end I started to feel some problems with the front tire. I tried to slightly modify the mappings to solve the problem but it didn’t help. We need to carefully check the data and analyze how to better manage the front tire for tomorrow, because it will be crucial. I am still happy because I think we did a good job today, but it wasn’t enough for the podium. I felt I had almost everything under control and it was like that as long as I was second, but then I started to struggle. Anyway, I think tomorrow, with the medium tire, it will definitely go better,” Fernandez concluded.
