Alex Marquez confirms himself in Barcelona

The victory achieved at the end of an intense Sprint confirms the competitiveness shown from the early stages of the weekend, but also reveals some technical aspects still to be improved, such as the management of the front tire, subject to perhaps excessive wear. In tomorrow’s GP, the use of the medium rear tire (an almost forced choice even if Fabio Di Giannantonio would like to try the gamble of the soft) could change the balance and help better preserve the front, especially in medium-high speed corners like 3, 4, or 12.

“Nice victory, but if I think about tomorrow we still lack something to be competitive in the long race. It was a nice challenge, in the last lap I felt a bike close and I had to make an effort because I had been struggling with the front for 4 or 5 laps. The 11 points gained on the top of the overall standings are definitely positive, but another step is needed to try to get back into the fight for the very top positions in the world championship“, this is Marquez’s comment.

For Fermin Aldeguer a Q1 elimination and an anonymous 12th place: “I felt strong, but today again a yellow flag came out, and then in the last time attack I fell in turn 5. I didn’t have major consequences but I definitely lost confidence in that area in the Sprint. Also, starting from the 5th row everything becomes very difficult. The pace wasn’t bad, but tomorrow we have to make a better start and keep calm“.
