The marriage between F1 and Sky continues
Formula 1 remains on Sky. The satellite broadcaster will continue to broadcast live all the sessions of the race weekends until 2032, as announced a few seconds ago by Sky Sport 24. A similar agreement – worth 200 million pounds per year for five seasons until 2034 – has been signed for the audience in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The renewal reflects the will of Stefano Domenicali and Liberty Media. The president of the Circus did not consider the European market ready to abandon the F1 viewing model and pushed for the extension, defined in recent weeks: “Sky has always been a dedicated, reliable and passionate partner since the beginning of our collaboration, many years ago. Their world-leading approach to live broadcasts, content creation and behind-the-scenes analysis, led by a group of truly extraordinary television talents, has made the difference in continuing to grow our sport in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Italy, and I am pleased that our partnership will continue for the next decade. I want to thank Sky group CEO Dana Strong and the entire Sky team for the determination shown in concluding this agreement and continuing to bring the excitement of Formula 1 to our fans,” this is the comment from the former Ferrari team principal.
The presence of several British drivers (Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Oliver Bearman, Arvid Lindblad as well as world champion Lando Norris and the Anglo-Thai Alex Albon) certainly played a role and – on the Italian side – the arrival in Formula 1 already in 2025 of Kimi Antonelli, who then exploded in 2026 and is currently the World Championship leader.

In October, F1 signed a deal worth a total of 800 million dollars with Apple TV for the period 2026-2030, which suggested the arrival of a revolution in event viewing, following the American model. At least until 2032, however, Sky will remain the home of Formula 1.
