It will be a duel with Marc Marquez
Marco Bezzecchi took pole position in the Thailand GP Qualifying of the MotoGP class in Buriram. The Aprilia rider stopped the clock at 1’28″692, beating Marc Marquez by 35 thousandths.

Bezzecchi also crashed at the end of the second run at the last corner while trying to further lower his time (he had a tenth of an advantage at the end of T3). Bezzecchi had also suffered a slide without consequences in FP2.
“Unfortunately, in the last time attack, I made a bit of a mistake at Turn 4 because I got distracted by Morbidelli being stopped on the inside and I went a bit wide, so I was a bit over, let’s say, in time – Bezzecchi explained to Sky Sport MotoGP – but I did a great T3, recovering enough, so I said I’ll try everything at the last braking point, it was maybe a bit too much, but it’s okay, come on, the important thing is that we are fine, we are fast enough and pole is important for tomorrow too, so I’m happy.”

“The bike is doing well, we worked quite a bit this morning too, a bit with the medium, a bit with the soft, I had a small slide this morning too, though, because I made another small mistake but come on, these are all things that happen, in the end, practice is for that too, so let’s see, come on, let’s try to fix a few more details and have fun,” Bezzecchi concluded.
