Ferrari, is the glass half full?
Overall, in the three 2026 world championship races disputed so far, Ferrari has been the first pursuer of Mercedes. But the Silver Arrows have appeared truly dominant, and thus Ferrari fans find themselves in limbo between disappointment over the large gap that has emerged so far and the hope of a possible recovery with updates arriving from Miami onwards.

Alesi hypes up Ferrari
In an interview with RacingNews365, Jean Alesi spoke about the Maranello team, with whom he raced between 1991 and 1995: “At the end of last year, they asked me how Ferrari had done, and I replied ‘a catastrophe’. I didn’t say anything wrong; I was stating the facts. Now, however, I am very satisfied with how they started the season; they presented themselves with a true Ferrari. I was truly impressed”.

Alesi said he particularly appreciates his compatriot Vasseur: “Fred is doing an excellent job from day one. Being a team principal must be incredibly complex, and at Ferrari, it’s a whole different story: everything is multiplied by 100%”. The former F1 driver continued: “At the moment, there isn’t a single person who can truly make a difference within a Formula 1 structure. Vasseur was very frustrated last year, because keeping everyone united was difficult. There were many criticisms against him and the team, and this had compromised the internal balance of the team. We are only at the beginning now, but it seems Ferrari is on the right track“, concluded Alesi.
