Records, as we know, are made to be broken, and in this regard the Aruba.it – Ducati team has managed to set one that will hardly be matched in the future by other teams. On the Portimão track, where the last round of the world championship took place, the team became the first in the history of Superbike to have achieved three doubles in the span of a single weekend. A result made possible by the three victories of the world leader Nicolò Bulega, always followed by his teammate Iker Lecuona in Race 1, Superpole Race, and Race 2. As if that were not enough, the two also finished in the same positions in Superpole, during which Bulega also set the new lap record of the Portuguese circuit.

Bulega increasingly leader
Another flawless weekend for the Emiliano, always on the top step of the podium also in the previous appointment in Australia, but not only that: if we consider the victories achieved in the last two rounds of 2025, #11 boasts so far a total of ten consecutive wins. A memorable weekend therefore for the team and the rider, who commented on the performances in the Round: “It’s a fantastic Sunday. But it wasn’t easy to achieve these results because in Friday’s free practice, especially in FP1, I didn’t feel I had the best feeling. We did a great job and for this I want to thank the team. I am very satisfied. From tomorrow we think about Assen.”

The progress of Lecuona
In his first year in this team after the departure of his compatriot Alvaro Bautista, Lecuona emphasized his great joy not only for the results in Portugal, but also for the growth in competitiveness after a not brilliant debut at Phillip Island: “We have made a very important step since Australia. There is great harmony with the team, our goal is to improve session after session. We are doing it, and this gives me great confidence. It was a weekend full of satisfaction and I am very happy to have shared it with my wife Gema, my family and my friends.”
