Ducati Disarmed?
In Brazil, Ducati at least made it to the podium with Fabio Di Giannantonio behind the two Aprilias; in the United States, however, there was no Desmosedici in the top 3, and it is certainly news considering that the Borgo Panigale manufacturer has dominated the category over the last five years.

Behind the Aprilias of Bezzecchi and Martin was Acosta’s KTM; Di Giannantonio was once again the best Ducati rider, finishing in fourth position ahead of Marc Marquez, who after the long lap penalty climbed back up to fifth place, although it should not be forgotten that without Ai Ogura’s retirement, the situation would have been even less heartening for Ducati.
Team manager Davide Tardozzi commented on another ‘defensive’ weekend: “Marc Marquez is not 100% fit – Tardozzi’s words to Sky – today I’ll take the middle part of the race when, the moment he got past Raul Fernandez, he made up eight tenths on Bezzecchi, which was a number one performance. Rear tire wear? Aprilia has grown significantly, an impressive leap in quality of 7-8 tenths, while we have improved by 1-2 tenths. At this moment, we have to chase a bit.”
