The obstacles for Ducati
Excluding the performances of Marc Marquez, in the top 3 both in qualifying and in the Sprint race, the weekend of the Austrian Grand Prix has not been entirely positive and fully convincing so far for the Ducati riders. It was precisely the brother of the nine-time world champion, Alex, who was involved in two crashes without consequences: the first, which occurred during FP1, led to the session being stopped, while the second happened during Q2.

What is the problem?
The final result of the Sprint saw the Gresini team rider finish in 5th place, but the Spaniard complained about some problems with his Desmosedici: “More or less I have recovered my speed – he commented to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP – yesterday we struggled, this morning a little less. For now, the only one who manages the riding problems is Marc, but for the rest of us, we struggle, especially me. We have no rear grip and we struggle to stop the bike. It’s a bit difficult to understand, but we are trying to turn this weekend around.”

Not the first time
A problem, that of the lack of rear grip, that Alex Marquez had also suffered during another GP: “It already happened to us in Thailand, and here we don’t have the grip we had last year. It’s difficult to understand, but Ducati is working. We will try to make another step tomorrow, we are trying to make changes, but we still haven’t found anything. Patience is needed.”
