Imola is ready
The situation in the Middle East is far from being considered calm, but F1 has not yet clarified whether the final race in Abu Dhabi will be held.
The closing of the world championship at Yas Marina – scheduled for next December 6 – is highly at risk and the name of Imola has now been revealed, as a potential and credible alternative to the stage in the Emirates.

Imola nurtures well-founded hopes, after in-depth talks with Liberty Media and Formula 1, but it is still in a waiting position.
The alternative plan has already been clearly outlined, the race will be held on the weekend of December 6 with a start time set for 12:00, to avoid too low temperatures. But also the early sunset of the winter season (which arrives shortly after 16:30). And the teams have already moved to book hotels in the area.
According to what emerges, the race should be called the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, following the example of what happened in 2025.
Behind the scenes: the Abu Dhabi issue
If everything has been planned, why are there no official announcements? According to what was learned by FormulaPassion.it, the stalemate situation is generated by the resistance of Abu Dhabi.
It must be the Arabs who officially communicate the withdrawal from the event, given the existing contracts.

Abu Dhabi currently is still selling hospitality and thinks it can host the race under safe conditions. Also, for reasons of opportunity, neither Liberty Media nor Mohammed Ben Sulayem want to put too much pressure on the issue.
