A bright future

The 2027 season of MotoGP will represent a total revolution for the category, from the bikes to the tires, including the various team line-ups. The VR46 is no exception, as it will rely on a new pair of riders: instead of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli, the two ‘fluo’ bikes from Tavullia will be driven by Fermìn Aldeguer and Nicolò Bulega. A very intriguing combination that Alessio ‘Uccio’ Salucci spoke about to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP during the Austrian GP weekend.

I don’t really like to talk too much now about the riders of the future – said Salucci to Skybut I am really very happy. Fermìn [Aldeguer] is young but already experienced. You can see that he is getting better race after race and that he is recovering from the very serious injury he suffered at the beginning of the year [when he fractured the diaphysis of his left femur during training, ed.]”.

The most interesting words, however, Salucci reserved for the dominant rider of the 2026 Superbike season, Nicolò Bulega, who will return to wear the VR46 colors after growing up in Rossi’s Academy and leaving it at the end of 2019: “I am very happy about Nicolò because when we parted ways – sportingly speaking – we hadn’t finished the job – explained Salucci – unfortunately he was not ready for the hectic life of a professional, also because of his age. Now he is a real man and it shows in the results“.
