The chances to compete in a race weekend are now more concrete for Ai Ogura, who had not taken part in the last two events in Aragon and Misano due to an injury to the thumb of his left hand. During the summer break, the Japanese rider of the Trackhouse team suffered a fracture after a motocross session, with the 25-year-old then undergoing surgery in Spain.

The final step
Since then, the rehabilitation period had begun which would certainly exclude his participation in Aragon, with strong doubts also for Misano. And indeed, even in last weekend’s San Marino GP, Ogura did not take to the track. The situation could be different for the Austrian Grand Prix, where the Japanese rider will be present. The confirmation came from an official note from the Trackhouse team, which however clarified that Ogura will necessarily have to pass the final medical exams, scheduled for Thursday, to obtain the consent of the medical staff.
