MotoGP Misano, the Sprint report
At Misano, even in the Sprint, the main faces are very well known: those of Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi. The short race on the Riviera continues the duel between the world champion and the Romagna rider of Aprilia: Marquez wins it, repeating the Sprint of the Aragón GP by burning his rival at the start and leading Saturday from the first to the last corner.

The first moments of the Sprint were decisive, seeing Marquez impose the pace despite going against the trend with the choice of rear tire (medium instead of soft). Bezzecchi tries to respond around three quarters of the race, closing to half a second, but the soft rear pays the price in the final laps: the home rider must yield to the Spaniard, for a standings situation that now sees Jorge Martin leading with 14 points over Marquez and 22 over the Romagna rider.
Martin does his part, with a third place that allows him to limit the damage. The Spaniard does not yet have the edge of the first two, but it was important for him to be right behind to take advantage of their duels. Fourth place for Fabio Di Giannantonio, closing the top 5 is Alex Marquez (coming back from P9).
After Acosta, Fernandez and Aldeguer, Luca Marini closes the points zone, having had an excellent weekend so far. Francesco Bagnaia, on the other hand, does not recover and finishes in 14th place.
