Bezzecchi embraces the fans again at Misano

For Marco Bezzecchi, the Misano weekend is not like any other. Here the Romagnolo is the host, and never like this year does he arrive at the weekend on the Riviera with the status of a rider who can aspire to the World Championship.

The feeling between Bezzecchi and the Aprilia RS-GP was fundamental to limit the damage as much as possible after the accidents at Assen and Sachsenring: the Bez was at the same time indomitable and calculating, balancing the desire to recover lost ground in the standings with the impossibility of asking too much of his body, between the clavicle fracture and the pain in the left knee due to a deep wound.

Bezzecchi’s words

The Aprilia rider also spoke about his physical condition, a fundamental aspect to compete in a weekend that could see him as a major protagonist considering the victory in the 2025 Sprint. “When you come to race here at home and you are doing well, the fans are here to push you and that is always nice. For me it is a special race, but it is still a race like the others and I will try to do my best as always. I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t like to win, but I know I am still recovering from my last injury, especially the knee, which is making things a bit more difficult for me. Fortunately, the shoulder is working well. The main goal is to return to the form of the beginning of the season“, Bezzecchi noted.

“I think I can start strong from tomorrow – added the Rimini native of Aprilia – the bike has changed a lot from last year, but also the general conditions of the weekend have changed. I want to start in the best way. The technical package is more competitive, I am a bit behind physically compared to last year but I will try to do my best. Is this the most important weekend of the year? No, I don’t think so. All races are important”.

Finally, Bezzecchi also recalled the F1 triumph of Andrea Kimi Antonelli at Monza, which he witnessed in person: “Kimi Antonelli? We are simply friends but definitely seeing the success that Kimi is having is a great motivation for me. I hope to be a bit of an inspiration for him. Seeing what he did at Monza was a nice adrenaline boost“, he concluded.

The Romagna weekend is therefore preparing to offer a direct confrontation between three of the great protagonists of the season. Martin wants to protect the World Championship lead from the attacks of Marc Marquez (at -19) and Bezzecchi himself, who must recover 24 points from his teammate.
