The couple of the future
In the Aragon GP, the only one who during the Sunday race managed to trouble Marc Marquez when the Ducati champion took the lead was Pedro Acosta. The Murcian ‘shark’ poked the reigning world champion for a few laps, before with four consecutive laps under the 1:47 barrier the red #93 signed the decisive breakaway. For the umpteenth time, therefore, the direct clash between the two Spanish phenoms saw Marquez prevail, but riding a bike infinitely less competitive than the Ducati, Acosta is showing all his immense qualities.

Adding charm to the relationship between the two Spanish riders – who in the past have not failed to poke each other even off the track but now seem to get along much better – is obviously the fact that next year Acosta will join Marquez in the Ducati factory red box. A dream couple that inevitably already intrigues motorcycle racing fans. But the desire to see the Marquez-Acosta challenge on equal terms seems to grow not only among the public but also among those who spend their whole life alongside these champions.

Mom Marquez and Pedro
In Spain, a very funny exchange of words went viral, broadcast by the Spanish TV DAZN, between Marc Marquez’s mother, Roser Alentà, and Pedro Acosta himself. Roser is now a very well-known presence in the paddock and after the race, the TV images showed her joking precisely with Acosta: there was a beautiful hug between the two and then the mother of the eight-time world champion praised Acosta for the “carreròn” (that is the “great race“) just raced.
Then, after another brief exchange of words, it was ‘mom Marquez’ who cast the bait looking ahead to 2027: “So… and next year?”, said Roser, referring precisely to the future new couple of the Ducati team. “We’ll see… congratulations!“, Acosta replied smiling. The 2026 World Championship is still far from being decided, but in the meantime, we can already get excited for 2027: it will be fun.
