Lando Norris for life at McLaren
It is no secret that Lando Norris has always been one of the favorites of the CEO of McLaren, Zak Brown. The American manager has always highly valued the requests of the young Englishman who, precisely with the Woking team, made his debut in Formula 1 back in 2019 and who in 2025 finally fulfilled the dream of becoming World Drivers’ Champion in the top racing series. Now, with the news of the renewal for another four years and therefore until the end of the 2030 season and despite a previous agreement still not expired (it was tied to the team until the end of 2028), Lando entrusts himself to Brown and team principal Andrea Stella for life. Or almost, since at the end of this new contract Norris will have blown out 31 candles on a cake.

Zak Brown’s comment
A signature that obviously can only make Zak Brown happy, who can continue with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” tactic by confirming at least until the end of 2028 the pair composed of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who together also collected two Constructors’ titles in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, in addition to the already mentioned Drivers’ World Championship from last season. “I am incredibly pleased to sign a new contract with Lando – explains the 54-year-old Californian entrepreneur – that extends his commitment to McLaren at least until 2030. His journey with the team is a fantastic example of our commitment to identifying, developing, and supporting world-class talent, and his successes speak for themselves.”
“Together with Andrea, Oscar, and the whole team, Lando has helped lead McLaren into a new era of success, helping us move from the back of the grid to two consecutive Constructors’ titles in 2024 and 2025 and our first Drivers’ title in 17 years. With Norris’s renewal, we are extremely excited about what lies ahead and remain fully focused on continuing to fight for wins and championships,” Zak Brown concluded.
