Ogura out
The Aragon Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend will not see the presence on track of Ai Ogura, forced to miss the appointment in Spain due to an injury sustained during training. The Japanese rider of the Trackhouse team, replaced on this occasion by Lorenzo Savadori, suffered a fracture in the thumb area of the left hand, but in recent hours good news has arrived for #79, at least of an extra-sporting nature.

Successful surgery and recovery plan
Trackhouse, with a statement published a few minutes ago, has in fact confirmed that the surgery Ogura underwent was successful, with the rider set to begin a recovery period aimed at returning to the track in about two weeks, although there is no official confirmation on this yet.

The statement
“The MotoGP rider, Ai Ogura, was operated on this morning in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Mir, who performed the surgery, reported that Ai’s left thumb fracture has been fixed with a plate and that his condition will be evaluated over the next weekend before establishing a rehabilitation plan. Although we hope that Ai can be fit to participate in the San Marino Grand Prix, which will start in 15 days, at the moment it is too early to confirm this“.
