Lewis Hamilton during his career has become a figure in some ways even bigger than Formula 1 itself. The seven-time world champion, alongside his activity as a driver, has created a true business empire, ranging from fashion to music and even cinema.

However, not everyone is a fan of this kind of attitude from the current Ferrari driver. The former team principal of Aston Martin and Alpine, Otmar Szafnauer, criticized Hamilton’s behavior by comparing it to that of his main rival of this era: Max Verstappen.
Speaking in an episode of the High Performance podcast, Szafnauer did not hold back from criticizing Hamilton’s attitude: “Who is the first to arrive on track? Max Verstappen – Szafnauer commented – he is always the first to arrive. Lewis, on the other hand, only arrives when all the photographers are there, so he can wear his extravagant clothes and get photographed“.

Then, responding ironically to those defending the often flashy style and looks shown by Hamilton inside the paddock, Szafnauer replied: “He can do it, I can’t. I believe style helped him in his relationship with Kim Kardashian, without a doubt”.
