Holidays over
“Back in the office“. A few words and some shots posted on Instagram mark the end of the holidays for Marc Marquez. The Spanish phenomenon returned to the saddle in the last days of July to regain the feeling with the track after a couple of weeks of necessary mental and physical relaxation. The place of return was one of his ‘home’ tracks, the Motorland of Aragon, where he rode his Panigale V2 in ‘all red’ version, with the same livery with which he presented himself at his first pre-season tests as a Ducati factory rider in the winter of 2024. Alongside him on the track were also his brother Alex and Diogo Moreira, as well as David Alonso and Iker Lecuona.

The intention of the Spanish Ducati champion was to ‘shake off the rust’ of the holidays and above all assess his physical condition after the many problems faced in the first part of the championship, with the crucial operation on the right shoulder that allowed him to remove the bent screw that was touching the radial nerve. The race return will be on the weekend of August 8-9 at Silverstone, for the highly anticipated British GP.
A taboo to break
Before the summer, Marquez had climbed back to third position in the standings just 18 points from the top of the leaderboard after an impressive streak of three GP and two Sprint wins in the last four rounds. However, the English track is not particularly friendly to #93, who in his entire extraordinary MotoGP career has won at Silverstone only once: in 2014 riding a Honda. This could be the perfect opportunity to break this small taboo as well.
