These are minutes of pure chaos in Monte Carlo. The double incident at Noghes, first with Lance Stroll and then with Charles Leclerc, convinced race control to suspend the Monaco GP to inspect the condition of the barriers at turn 19 and especially the asphalt, which has fallen apart.

The red flag was logically displayed. Race Director Rui Marques rushed to the scene to personally assess the track conditions and determine if it was possible to proceed. As communicated by the FIA, provisional repair work has been completed and the race restarts at 17:12. The restart will be from a standstill, therefore from the starting grid.
Race control has clarified that the restart will be with Kimi Antonelli ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Isack Hadjar, George Russell, Pierre Gasly, Oscar Piastri, Liam Lawson, Arvid Lindblad, Alex Albon, and Carlos Sainz.
The finishing order, however, will not be this at all, because Russell will receive a drive-through and will finish his GP with zero points, while Hamilton and Hadjar are under investigation for infringements committed under Safety Car conditions. Even one of Pierre Gasly and Oscar Piastri, if not both, could finish on the podium.
