The French Red Bull driver, however, this time probably went too far with his passion for boxing gloves, at least according to a reconstruction reported by the BBC.

Hadjar’s injury – he fractured his wrist and for this reason will not be present at Zandvoort for the Dutch GP, leaving his seat to former Racing Bulls teammate Liam Lawson – actually originated from a boxing training session gone wrong. In its official statement, Red Bull did not provide any specific details regarding the #6’s injury, only stating that the incident occurred during the summer break.

Then the reconstruction of the injury generally occurring during a training session emerged, but according to the BBC it was actually a boxing session that caused Hadjar’s injury. A carelessness that, if confirmed, would be quite serious for a driver of that level, especially in his first season in a top team and after a first half of the championship judged overall good by all observers.
